Anne McNamara

Anne McNamara is a Presentation Sister from County Clare, Ireland. After entering the South West Province of the Presentation Sisters, she taught high school and has worked in education in Ireland and Slovakia. She currently resides in Spišské Podhradie, a Slovak town 150 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, and ministers in the areas of social development, family support and developing educational opportunities for Roma people.

Slovakia is a haven for Ukrainian refugees

Last year, the Presentation Sisters gave use of their unoccupied flat in Bratislava, Slovakia, to Ukrainian refugees. The need for accommodation and safety is still vital for many families fleeing the war.
