VISION Vocation Guide still strong after 35+ years

VISION Vocation Guide still strong after 35+ years

Vocation ministry has changed significantly in the last three decades, but one enduring reality is VISION Vocation Guide serving as an essential resource for discerners and vocation promoters. The 2024 edition just published on August 1. Since its first issue in 1987, VISION has provided  young adults considering the possibility of religious life with accurate and accessible information about Catholic religious vocations.

Though each issue of VISION consistently offers stories, photos, news, and features by and about Catholic sisters, nuns, brothers, and priests and basic information about religious life and Catholic teaching. the guide has evolved over the years to meet young people where they are.

VISION has a presence on various online platforms. The print issue now features a Spanish language section, and additional articles are offered in French and Spanish online along with access to an extensive online article library. Also featured online is the popular VISON Vocation Match tool that assists discerners in finding the vocation that might be right for them, and a newly enhanced Events Calendar, showcasing  and mapping upcoming service, educational, and discernment events.

VISION has won numerous Catholic Media awards over the years for general excellence including best in class awards for features, essays, poetry, website (VocationNetwork.org), e-newsletter (E-Vocation), and blog (Questions Catholics Ask).

Published by TrueQuest Communications (truequestweb.com) on behalf of the National Religious Vocation Conference (nrvc.net) VISION is one of the most widely circulated publications in the Catholic press today and is distributed throughout the U.S. and Canada in print and worldwide digitally.

It is supported through the advertising sponsorship of religious institutes and other Catholic organizations. VISION 2024, published on Aug. 1, 2023,  appears in print (order copies here), online (VocationNetwork.org), and in digital format (visionvocationguide/2024_vision) and features articles on men and women religious at the border, Catholic sisters ministering in Uvalde, powerful brothers, and priests who are different in a good way!
