Global Sisters Report traveled to Concordia, Kansas, last month to visit with Sr. Marcia Allen, president of the Sisters of St. Joseph based there. Allen is president-elect of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious; she officially will be installed at the LCWR assembly in August.
In this interview clip from our visit, Allen talks about evolutionary consciousness, which she says is "critical to everyone's personal development and communal development" because "What's critical to our inner life is the life of the Trinity . . . that relationship is built on evolutionary love. It started with the big bang, where the source of all being burst into material or matter and has evolved to the present moment. It will keep on evolving."
GSR staff reporter Dawn Cherie Araujo starts of this clip with a question; filming and editing were done by NCR Bertelsen intern Nicholas Sciarappa. The piece is about 4 minutes long. Read a full profile article and see another video clip in Digging into her spiritual roots: Sr. Marcia Allen.
