Olivia Bardo

Olivia Bardo

Olivia Bardo is the multimedia/social editor at Global Sisters Report. She grew up in rural Pennsylvania, where she spent her time reading fiction, picking wildflowers and cloud watching. She calls northern New Jersey home.

Olivia is a graduate of Messiah University, where she majored in English and minored in political science and gender studies. She also had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Oxford.

Before joining the team at GSR, Olivia was an editorial assistant at Sojourners and a marketing intern at Commonweal. She is interested in conversations on women, gender, culture, communion and hope. She has written for Sojourners, Commonweal, New Jersey Monthly, Clerestory and The Porch.

Though it’s hard to select just one, her favorite fiction book is Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, but The Dutch House by Ann Patchett brought her to tears. You’re likely to find Olivia reading, drinking tea, baking bread, riding her bicycle, and wandering through art galleries.
