Later this summer, Pope Francis will release his highly anticipated encyclical on the environment and human ecology.
In preparation of the document, NCR recently reviewed previous homilies, speeches and messages on environmental topics from Francis since his papacy began March 13, 2013. From more than 30,000 words and nearly 100 texts, we compiled his most noteworthy quotes and presented them in a full-page graphic in the Our Environment special section of the April 10-23, 2015, print edition.
