A rosary is draped over the praying hands of a statue of Mary outside the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse, New York. (CNS/Catholic Sun/Paul Finch)
Listener Pamela asks the "Ask Sister" hosts: How does the rosary play a role in your daily prayer life? Did it play a part in helping you find your way to becoming a sister? Sr. Maxine Kollasch and Sr. Julie Vieira, co-founders of A Nun's Life Ministry, recount childhood rosary stories (remember glow-in-the-dark rosaries?) and talk about the different ways they got to know Mary the Mother of God. Especially as members of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Monroe, Michigan, both sisters have embraced closeness with Mary as part of their vocation.
