William Przylucki

William James “Bill” Przylucki, 69, passed away at St. Joseph's in Bellingham, WA, accompanied by his daughter and son-in-law, after a brief illness on January 16.

Bill was born in May 1956 in Utica, NY to William and Suzanne (Tanury) Przylucki. He grew up in nearby Yorkville. He graduated from Whitesboro High School and received a Bachelor's degree from Upper Division College at Herkimer/Rome/Utica and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University at Albany School of Social Welfare.

Bill worked as an administrator for social service agencies, focusing especially on child welfare agencies. He worked for Catholic Charities of Albany and the Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies, and in 2022 he retired from his position at the New York State Council on Children and Families.

Bill was an avid athlete, playing semi-professional football for the Albany Metro Mallers, and numerous decidedly less professional games of baseball, softball, basketball and golf. He was a performer, as well as an enthusiastic fan, of rock music, and he taught several young musicians their first chords.

Bill is survived by his children, Bill (Kendall) and Erin (Mike), and their mother Irene, his stepchildren, Sam (Ang), Hayden, and Zane, and their mother Tracy, his grandchildren Willa and Teddy, his sister Beth and brother-in-law Steve, and his nephews Steven (Nicole) and Bryan (Carissa).

Memorial Services are being planned for May 16, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul in Albany, NY (900 Madison Ave, Albany, NY 12208).
