The Novitiate program, which extends over a period of two years, is an opportunity for the Novice to deepen her experience of God through prayer, reflection, study, community life, and times of ministry. Celebrated each year on Sept. 8, the day was launched in 1967 to “remind the public of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights and to advance the literacy agenda towards a more literate and sustainable society.”

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (Sept 9, 2024) The Salesian St. Artemide Zatti Community in Ashaiman, Ghana, held a youth ministry leadership capacity-building and training workshop thanks in part to donor funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco.
The Franciscan Peace Center has re-vamped America’s favorite quiz show as part of Campaign Nonviolence, a project of Pace e Bene. The free online game follows the format of “Jeopardy!” but with categories that focus on nonviolence, human rights, climate, income inequality, and racism.
